Shelter is a registered non-governmental organization under the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Honourable Prime Minister’s Office, Government of Bangladesh, established in 2002. Additionally, we are registered with:

• Ministry of Social Welfare (2001) as “Shelter for Slum People”
• Ministry of Youth and Sports (2001) as “Shelter for Youth”
• Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (2010) as “Shelter for Women”
• Shelter Inc., Alberta, Canada (2016)

Over the years, Shelter has successfully implemented long-term development projects through skilled and experienced teams. We have collaborated with international and national partners including JICA, IOM, UNICEF, GIZ, the German Embassy, ITF UK, ATSEC, FK Norway, HOPE-87, Zakat Foundation USA, Muslim Charity UK, WFP, and various Government of Bangladesh programs, including VGD and other public sector initiatives. We are experienced in meeting international standards and compliance requirements for overseas collaboration.
